Obituary:

passed away on Sunday, September, 25, 2011, in Naples, Florida. Vivian was born on April 3, 1924, in Duluth, MN to Charles and Sarah Cohen. She was especially proud of her service to the United States Navy. Vivian was known for her grace, style, warmth and generosity. A lifelong member of Hadassah, she was a vibrant part of the St. Paul and Naples Jewish communities for many years. Vivian had many passions in her life but above all her greatest loves were family and friends. Beloved wife to her adoring husband of 61 years, Ben, who passed in April, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her loving son, Bob. Vivian is survived by her sister, Roselyn Lavick of Mesa, AZ; her children, Janet (Steve) Lesgold of Madison, WI, Margie (Buddy) Howell of Edina, MN, daughter in-law Laurie Calmenson of San Diego, CA and her eight loving grandchildren. We will miss her dearly. Gifts in Vivian’s memory may be made to the Robert L Calmenson Pediatric Cardiology Research Fund.
